Even a single feather has a history behind its journey here.

I painted a single feather left on the rain-drenched ground.

When I found the feather on the side of the road, I couldn't help but see it as more than just something dropped behind.

This feather, too, once spent time with a bird, caught the wind, traveled through the sky, and now, it rests here.

In this piece, there is only the feather, the water's surface, and the incoming light.
There is nothing to explain what kind of bird it was, where it came from, or where it goes from here.

That is precisely why I hope each viewer will imagine the time that lies beyond this small feather.

Koken

I create works centered on the "inner space" where thought, memory, and existence intersect. By using heavy impasto, I construct phenomena such as pressure, collapse, and regeneration on the canvas, simultaneously expressing both stillness and depth.

My work does not aim to depict landscapes or objects, but rather to draw out the "sense of presence" and the "ineffable margins" of experience.

My goal is to provide an experience where the viewer can let go of their thoughts and quietly return to themselves while engaging with the piece.

I hope my art will bring a sense of calm and tranquility to your daily space, remaining a companion to you for a long time to come.

My hobbies are Shorinji Kempo (405th generation) and racquetball.

Author's Works

A simple frame that enhances the picture

This frame is made from natural wood. The natural finish does not obscure the wood grain. The simple color and shape make the picture stand out. This is a classic frame that suits modern homes well. Developed in collaboration with a frame manufacturer. This is an Ayuwara original frame.

Frame color can be changed

The frame color will be the same as the artwork image. You can change it if you wish. You can choose from white, natural, brown, or black. If you have a preference, please write "XX frame desired" in the comments section when placing your order.
