The Great Buddha Hall of Todaiji Temple on a summer night, a blend of tranquility and light

This photo shows the illuminated night view of the Great Buddha Hall of Todaiji Temple in Nara City, Nara Prefecture.

On summer nights, the sky is dyed a deep purple, and the historic buildings are illuminated by vermilion lights, creating a fantastical appearance.
The light is reflected in the pond in the foreground, shimmering, as if another world is unfolding on the surface of the water.

This piece exudes a sense of solemnity amidst the silence, and conveys the spirit of Buddhism that transcends the passage of time.

I wander around with a camera, mainly in Nara and Mie.
Occasionally, I travel to Gifu and Nagano to take photos.

How to choose the color of a picture frame

We are often asked, "What color is best for a picture frame?" There are two ways to choose. The first is to choose a frame that matches the picture. Darker pictures should be paired with darker frames, and lighter pictures with lighter frames. A white frame is recommended for cooler colors, and a natural frame for warmer colors. The second is to choose a frame that matches the color of the room. Choose a frame color that matches the color of the floor and furniture. If the room is decorated with white floors and furniture, choose a white frame; if the floors and furniture are natural, choose a natural frame; if the floors and furniture are dark, choose a brown frame; and if the room is monochromatic, choose a black frame.
