The Milky Way shot in Kiyosato

I went to Kiyosato in May for three days to photograph the Milky Way from my car.

From around 2 AM, I was in a completely dark, deserted park. Every now and then, the wind would blow, making rustling noises, and I'd turn around, wondering if it was a bear, battling the fear of the dark.

The temperature also dropped below freezing during the night, and I shivered as I waited for the Milky Way to align directly over the monument.

The Milky Way was so beautiful I could see it with my naked eye, and I pressed the shutter button with all my might. I haven't encountered a more beautiful Milky Way since.

MADOKA

When I was a child, I became interested in my father's camera and started taking pictures in junior high school.

About 20 years ago, while on a photography trip to a sunflower field, I met a photographer and connected with them on social media. They asked if I would be interested in a part-time job doing school photography, and that's how I started photographing kindergartens. A few years later, at the age of 50, I quit my office job to become a freelance photographer. In Reiwa 5 (2023), I registered my business under the name Sindyroomphoto, and I now primarily work on school photography.

In 2025, I anticipate working on about 140 projects and will be quite busy. However, when I have free time, I immerse myself in nature to refresh and take landscape photos.

My dream is to take photographs that soothe people's hearts, and nothing would make me happier than to have my work displayed on someone's wall.
