Climbers heading from Kitadake to Ainodake

If asked, "What is the highest mountain in Japan?", there is no one who cannot answer "Mount Fuji." So, what is the second highest mountain? Climbing enthusiasts can answer, but most people would not know the answer.
One example is Mount Kitadake, 3,193m high, located in the Southern Alps. It is also known as Mount Shirane because of its appearance when covered in snow.
July 2023
From Narata to Hirogawara, we hiked five mountains over 3000m: Notori-dake, Nishi-Notori-dake, Aino-dake, Naka-Shirane-san, and Kita-dake. On the last day, we just had to climb Aino-dake and Kita-dake and descend to Hirogawara, but since we didn't seem to be able to make the bus in time, we decided to pitch our tent at Shirane Oike Hut. The long hike was almost over.

Tama

A mysterious watercolor painter living in Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture.
I climb mountains and paint.
The long journey to the trailhead is a concern.
He also paints landscapes of his hometown, Choshi City.
He is currently working on his artwork while crossing the Alps from the Sea of Japan to the Pacific Ocean.
I'm working on it, but I'm only halfway there.
I don't know when I'll reach the goal.
I would be happy if you could share your mountain views.
