A shopping street quietly etching memories of its former bustle. Portraying the passage and transience of time in monochrome.

This is a landscape photograph taken in a shopping arcade in Osaka.

I quietly captured the arcade, which was once bustling with people, in black and white. As times change, the townscape and people's lives gradually transform, yet the street remains, breathing with memories of accumulated time.

Beyond the arcade, where light streams in, an atmosphere where past and present intersect flows, giving a somewhat poignant yet warm impression.

This work encapsulates both the sadness of things lost in a changing era and the resilience of a town that continues to move forward. I hope you can enjoy a quiet moment while feeling the fleetingness and nostalgia that arise precisely from everyday scenery.

Ayako

Born in 1997.
I visited Okinawa, my father's hometown, several times when I was young, experiencing its rich nature and beautiful scenery. This led to my love for photographing natural landscapes.
I am particularly drawn to landscapes overflowing with greenery, such as trees and flowers. I also find traditional townscapes and historical buildings appealing, and I enjoy capturing warm, nostalgic scenes.
I photograph small, healing moments found in daily life, seasonal flowers, and memorable cityscapes.
I aim to deliver works that resonate with everyday life, bringing a sense of calm or nostalgia to those who view them.
