Amidst the golden wind, two peacocks spread their wings, their paths crossing for a fleeting moment.

I have depicted two peacocks dancing through a space filled with gold.

In this piece, I have captured a fleeting moment of the peacocks with their wings spread in motion, rather than a scene of them standing still. By layering the flow of their tail feathers and wings extending from either side, I composed the piece so that the wind appears to circulate throughout the canvas.

I placed a circle reminiscent of the moon, flowers, and flowing water in the background, while ensuring that none of these elements speak too loudly. This is because the movements of the two birds themselves serve to connect the scenery.

They cross paths for only an instant before heading in different directions. I hope you can feel the beauty of that brief moment in time.

Koken

I create work centered on the "inner space" where thought, memory, and existence intersect.
Through heavy impasto, I build phenomena such as pressure, collapse, and regeneration onto the canvas, expressing both stillness and depth simultaneously.

My work does not aim to depict landscapes or objects,
but rather to draw out the "sense of being" and the "ineffable margins" within.

As viewers engage with my art, I hope to offer an experience
where they can let go of their thoughts and quietly return to themselves.

I hope my art will bring a sense of calm and tranquility to your daily space,
serving as a lasting presence by your side.

My hobbies are Shorinji Kempo (405th class) and racquetball.
