Akito Sekido

Landscape photographer Akito Sekido

Born in Nagoya in 1958. Lives in Gifu Prefecture.
After graduating from university, he worked for a travel agency, and then in production.

In 2011, he met landscape photographer Shigeki Yamashita through Facebook, who taught him about the beauty of nature and about photography, and he has continued to work in this field ever since. From 2013 to 2014, he studied under the late Kaoru Shimizu, a railway photographer and member of the Japan Professional Photographers Society.

In April 2015, his railway landscape photograph "Travel" was published in the photo community publication "Photographers I Met on Facebook." In 2021, his photograph was published in Iroha Publishing's 365 Days of Japan Railway Travel. He is currently engaged in commercial photography (railway landscapes, natural landscapes, castle landscapes, etc.).

How to choose the color of a picture frame

We are often asked, "What color is best for a picture frame?" There are two ways to choose. The first is to choose a frame that matches the picture. Darker pictures should be paired with darker frames, and lighter pictures with lighter frames. A white frame is recommended for cooler colors, and a natural frame for warmer colors. The second is to choose a frame that matches the color of the room. Choose a frame color that matches the color of the floor and furniture. If the room is decorated with white floors and furniture, choose a white frame; if the floors and furniture are natural, choose a natural frame; if the floors and furniture are dark, choose a brown frame; and if the room is monochromatic, choose a black frame.
