Private Island

A small, isolated island floats quietly in the midsummer sea.

The island is surrounded by the ultramarine blue sea.

It's a nostalgic, different world, far removed from the hustle and bustle.

The expanse of the ocean and the silence of the island vividly echo each other,

The sound of the waves, the southern wind caressing your skin,

--Even that feeling comes flooding out.

To that "blue paradise" that lies deep in our summer memories,

The painting gently takes me away.

Kinoshigeta

Born in Tokyo in 1961

Since 2025, I have been working as a "Digital AIart Imaginator" and "Picture book author."

The scenery that comes to mind, the atmosphere you feel at that moment - depict it with the "new paintbrush called AI."

For me, creation is the time I spend repeatedly asking and answering questions with AI about the feelings I want to express deep in my heart and the scenery I want to see, gradually giving shape to the outlines.

The emergence of generative AI has provided an opportunity to reexamine the very nature of artistic expression.

We are fortunate to be witnessing this turning point, and while cherishing this good fortune, we will pick up the accidental fluctuations and noise created by AI and weave stories and warmth into them.

--That process is the core of my creations.

My work doesn't have any particular stylistic boundaries, it just naturally moves in the direction that resonates with me, whether that be watercolor, oil painting, or city pop.

I believe that AI is merely a tool for expression.

It is up to me to give meaning to it, how I use it, what I choose, how I arrange it, and how I create new emotions.

As one brushstroke in a comprehensive art form created by humans and AI, we continue to quietly explore the possibilities of future expression.
