A quiet space remaining in the morning city

The city in the morning contains the presence of people, but is not yet fully awake.
Light filtering through the gaps between buildings, crossing power lines, and figures passing by on the street.
In this work, the stillness and tension that permeates the city in the morning is expressed through the bleeding and overlapping of watercolors.

The people depicted on the screen have no clear outlines and are not identifiable individuals.
Each person is depicted as one of the countless people who make up the city, going to work and living their lives.

The blue-based color scheme symbolizes the cool air and clear time.
The splashes and lines of color indicate the heartbeat of the city as it slowly begins to move.
The work is intended to capture the "quiet morning" of the city just before the hustle and bustle.

Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1956
After retiring, he graduated from the Kyoto University of Arts Correspondence Course Western Painting Course.

There is a beauty in the natural and urban landscapes where human activities and the flow of time blend together. I am fascinated by the subtle changes in color of light and air, and the rhythm created by the hard structures and natural shapes. In watercolors, I aim to portray the breath and charm of the landscape through the blurring and transparency of water.

Frame color can be changed

The frame color will be the same as the artwork image. You can change it if you wish. You can choose from white, natural, brown, or black. If you have a preference, please write "XX frame desired" in the comments section when placing your order.

How to choose the color of a picture frame

We are often asked, "What color is best for a picture frame?" There are two ways to choose. The first is to choose a frame that matches the picture. Darker pictures should be paired with darker frames, and lighter pictures with lighter frames. A white frame is recommended for cooler colors, and a natural frame for warmer colors. The second is to choose a frame that matches the color of the room. Choose a frame color that matches the color of the floor and furniture. If the room is decorated with white floors and furniture, choose a white frame; if the floors and furniture are natural, choose a natural frame; if the floors and furniture are dark, choose a brown frame; and if the room is monochromatic, choose a black frame.
