雨上がりの空がくれた、今日だけのアロハ

ハワイ・オアフ島、ワイケレを訪れた帰り道。ふと空を見上げると、大きな虹が街を包み込むように架かっていました。

ハワイでは虹は「レインボーステート」の象徴として親しまれ、幸運や祝福を運ぶ存在ともいわれています。スコールのあとに現れる虹は、日常の風景の中で何度出会っても心を動かしてくれる特別な景色です。

信号待ちのほんの数分。その短い時間だけ見ることができた、自然からの贈りもの。旅先だからこそ出会えた偶然ではなく、ハワイでは何気ない日常の中にも、こんな感動が息づいています。

この作品には、旅の思い出だけでなく、ハワイの空気や光、そして「何気ない一日が特別になる瞬間」を閉じ込めました。

部屋に飾るたび、ハワイの空を見上げたあの日を思い出し、心が少し軽くなるような一枚になれば幸いです。

私にとってハワイは、第二のふるさと。30回を超える旅を重ねる中で、美しい景色以上に、島に流れる時間や人の温かさ、自然とともに生きる心に惹かれてきました。

描きたいのは、風景そのものではありません。吹き抜ける風、降りそそぐ光、波の音——その瞬間の空気ごと、一枚の作品に込めています。

How to choose the color of a picture frame

We are often asked, "What color is best for a picture frame?" There are two ways to choose. The first is to choose a frame that matches the picture. Darker pictures should be paired with darker frames, and lighter pictures with lighter frames. A white frame is recommended for cooler colors, and a natural frame for warmer colors. The second is to choose a frame that matches the color of the room. Choose a frame color that matches the color of the floor and furniture. If the room is decorated with white floors and furniture, choose a white frame; if the floors and furniture are natural, choose a natural frame; if the floors and furniture are dark, choose a brown frame; and if the room is monochromatic, choose a black frame.
