Lake Kasumigaura from Mount Hokyo

A Sunday in December.
The weather was nice, so I decided to go to the mountains. My destination was Mount Hokyo (461m) in Ibaraki Prefecture, a mountain that a fellow hiker had told me about. Despite it being early in the morning, there were many cars parked in the parking lot at the trailhead. It seems to be a popular mountain, even though it is a low one.
After walking along the footpath for a while, the path changed to one that ran alongside a stream.
Once you climb up the stream and reach the ridge, the summit is near.
The leaves have fallen from the trees at the summit, offering a great view. To the north is Mount Tsukuba, to the west is central Tokyo and Mount Fuji, and to the east is the vast Lake Kasumigaura.
This must be the mountain next to Mount Tsukuba that I could see when I climbed up the local hill.
Now I have one more mountain I want to climb.

Tama

A mysterious watercolor painter living in Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture.
I climb mountains and paint.
The long journey to the trailhead is a concern.
He also paints landscapes of his hometown, Choshi City.
He is currently working on his artwork while crossing the Alps from the Sea of Japan to the Pacific Ocean.
I'm working on it, but I'm only halfway there.
I don't know when I'll reach the goal.
I would be happy if you could share your mountain views.
