北海道上磯郡木古内町にある北海道新幹線ビュースポット周辺を上空から捉えた風景です。一直線に伸びる鉄道と道路が広大な田園地帯を貫き、その先には住宅地や海岸部が広がっています。農地の区画や道路の線形が規則的に配置され、上空から見ることで北海道らしい広々とした土地のスケールを感じられる構図になっています。鉄道、道路、農地、住宅地、海が一つの画面に収まり、交通インフラと地域の暮らしが共存する北海道の景観を表現しています。新幹線を中心とした鉄道景観だけでなく、地域紹介や観光、交通、農村風景、北海道の広大な土地を紹介する素材として幅広く活用できます。
